After a busy day pretending to teach I very often find it hard enough to make tea for us all, never mind doing fun extra stuff. But what with today being Pancake Tuesday I felt I had better pull my finger out and jolly well make the effort.
So after dinner and dishes I whipped out the baking gear (which has wallowed in the cupboard for a while now) and using my fabulous chum's mum's recipe, I rustled up a stack of yummy pancakes.
Complete with the necessary accompaniments:
........the kids and I had a pancake feast!! My fav topping is good old sugar and lemon - Cameron and Maddie had a bit of everything!! Boy was it yummy!!
Love school day treats! Unexpected, not much planning involved, but very satisfying!! The best bit was when Cameron nonchalauntly nudged me with his elbow and said, through a mouthful of pancake ''I love you mum...........and of course I love these pancakes!''
It was so worth it!!

Nom, nom, nom! Well said little Mancub!
