So did you enjoy your extra hour in bed? Or is it possible that your kids woke you up at the scrake of dawn like what happened around here? Did you have to haul yourself out of bed knowing it was actually even earlier than usual? I ask you - how come daylight saving lie ins only seem to apply to Daddys - is it a hidden clause in the marriage certificate - does the official at the wedding take them aside and make sure they are aware of this? Sorry I digress!!!
I added a new Application to my iphone yesterday to make geocaching easier as the last couple I have tried to find I couldn't. It's terribly frustrating and not at all attractive for a grown woman to throw a tantrum in public! This app rocks! You basically follow your little blue dot as it gets closer & closer to the green arrow(cache).
So we decided to start off simple - find a cache pretty close to home on the Comber Greenway - not too far for the kids to walk and close to a cosy cafe for some hot choc afterwards! Now, it could be said that we are special needs Geocachers as we missed it the first time, Ewan ripped his trousers on barbed wire and I dropped the flippin' thing down a steep slope tring to hide it again. But the kids loved getting a treat from the treasure box & hiding from passers by in the bushes. It was much fun! There'll be no stopping us now! We'll be out and about in East Belfast, lurking behind bushes and in undergrowth. Hope the police don't call later asking what we were up to loitering behind their headquarters! Reckon they will forgive us! Who can resist hidden treasure?
Then, while Liverpool were about to break my husband's and brother in law's hearts, the kids and I took to decorating our first pumpkin ever! It is currently lighting up my hallway and sending a cloud of vanilla fragrance through out the house (couldn't find any normal tealights so Ikea's vanilla variety will have to suffice). I am pretty proud of it - not too cute, not too scary and not as difficult (or smelly)to do as the turnip I used in my teens!
What did you get up to this fine Sunday?
