Just took the most awful photos of some of my most recent scrapbook pages. I've actually made time for a fair few layouts - catching up on lost time!!

That green trim is my most favourite thing at the moment!!

This layout makes me laugh so much - & cross my legs, hehe!! It's bright pink in real life - told you they were awful photos!!

I took this photo as an update to my second ever blog post.  Also to cheer me up when all I could do was wallow on the sofa while my dodgy pelvis healed! That seems sooooo long ago, a bad dream really!!

What have you been making recently?

Using My Time Wisely:

Managed to shuffle myself to the kitchen on my trusty zimmer and create some layouts this morning. I've been a poor scrapbooker recently, despite the new storage solutions, so hopefully this little 'holiday' will give me time to get back into it! I also sorted through my stash - bad idea - I have so much patterened paper it cannot be normal - I just love pretty paper, it's a problem! I seem to lean towards pinks and basic grey. Although there is also plenty of blue so Cameron isn't left out!

 
I got the idea for the banner in Elizabeth Kartchner's book. Can't wait to get stuck into more projects from it.

Don't you just love the letters on this one. They are called 'Frustrated Schoolgirl'. Makes me think of the many times I doodled in the margin of my book during a particularly boring lesson (not that any pupils do that in my room - on no, my lessons are all singing all dancing - ha!). 

Now, do not think that I have forgotten my little lady, just waiting for a load of photos I have ordered to arrive. Remember I have all that pink paper to use up, ha!

So Much Inspiration

Just a quick share. Got these three books over the holidays. So many interesting things to look at and to make. Think it may keep me busy until 2011. At least it will help me keep off the wine (and fullfill a New Years resolution). Am off, have no time to blog aymore, too busy making stuff. Anyone want an iphone cover or glasses case?

{ Duvet Day }

So, what a shocker, its another rainy Sunday. What's different about today is that we decided to rebel. For over a year we have hauled ourselves up and out to the gym at 10am. The kids have a fun class and we got to go to the gym in peace. Then we would swim and lunch, and before you knew it it was 2pm. Well today we didn't! We kept our jammies on, snuggled under blankets on the sofa and watched cartoons and surfed the net. It was lovely. Before we knew it it was noon and time for yummy BLT sandwiches. Because doing nothing is really not my style (or Cameron's - he was continuously asking where were we going today) I decided to rustle up some cupcakes. Then I thought I would fiddle about with some photos on photoshop. Before I knew it I had produced the following:

 

'Them' refers to the totally cool Boyd family, although it could also refer to the fact that that day on the beach it was the four kids vs their mummys and their cameras - with not a sensible pose to be seen (sense is highly overated!). We had a whole lot of fun that day in Portstewart and it was fun to remember it on a soggy September Sunday.  Let me draw your attention to the cupcakes to the right - am getting better at this butter icing malarky.

Had better wrap this up, have to be domestic goddess again and make fajitas for tea. Hope your Sunday was a good one, what did you do?

I Like Making Stuff !!

So now, just because I never put it on here anymore, doesn't mean that I'm not still rustling up the odd scrapbook page! What it means is that I am much too lazy to take photos and actually upload them!!

Well tonight I made an effort - it could be that I was spurred on by the extremely fun time I had last night scrapping, chatting, eating and 'singing' with the lovely Janine and Jo. Or it could be that I just love the cute patterned paper I've been using lately & the bright colours. So here's a few examples from July:

 

This one's about our Lake District holiday, and it uses my favourite new product - humungus chipboard letters, they'll crop up again!! Watch out!!

 

This one pays tribute to the spectacular huffs Cameron can throw - typical man(cub).

 

This is to remind me never to bet against Maddie at mini-golf, she rocks at it!

 

Oh what laughs we had when Cameron took to wearing goggles to watch TV on holiday. What a scamp! (Did you spot them again? Humungus letters. Pretty hard to miss!)
